Live Like Roo 

  • Provides support and financial assistance to families whose pet faces a cancer diagnosis

  • Grants are awarded monthly and the grant review process requires 3-4 weeks.

Bow-Wow Buddies Foundation


  • Grants of up to $2,500 per dog for necessary medical treatments for dogs across America in need of care for conditions such as broken bones, enucleation, emergency services, abdominal obstruction, and cancer

Dogs on Deployment


  • Provides an online network for service members to search for volunteers who are willing to board their pets during their owner’s service commitments

  • Provides grants to assist with the cost of life-saving or life-enhancing emergency or specialty care for pets whose families cannot afford the full cost of treatment

Friends and Vets Helping Pets

  • Provides assistance to families with financial limitations to pay for lifesaving (not life-prolonging) treatment for curable diseases such as tumors, broken bones, ambulatory care, expensive medication, or post-surgical prosthetic devices

Fur the Brand

  • Provides financial assistance to pets who face a cancer diagnosis requiring extensive veterinary care in which the owners are unable to afford

HEAL Foundation

  • Provides financial assistance to owners of dogs requiring vet care

  • Funding is only for spayed/neutered dogs

  • Funding is limited to a $1,000 limit per applicant and the owner must pay at least 25% of the total fee.

Land of Pure Gold

  • Offers $1000 grants for cancer treatment for working dogs throughout the U.S. and Canada. 

  • Must be full-time working dog partner in areas of assistance, detection, search & rescue, law enforcement, military or animal-assisted therapy.

  • Provides financial assistance to individual families who cannot afford urgent veterinary care for their dogs

Molly’s Hope 

  • Provides necessary financial assistance for emergency medical treatment in efforts to prevent financially driven euthanasia

  • Grants range between $300-$400.

  • Provides financial assistance throughout the United States to those who cannot afford veterinary care for their beloved furry family members

Red Rover

  • Offers one-time grants to low or no-income families, rescuers and Good Samaritans facing emergency veterinary crises

The Peanut Fund 

  • Provides financial assistance for pets with medical issues in low-income families to reduce the risk of euthanasia and homelessness, with small dollar grants of $50-$200.

Jake Brady Memorial Fund

  • Location: Ohio only

  • Provides funding for corrective, suitable, and life-saving medical treatment to companion animals of families in need

  • Provides education, counseling, and financial support to Coloradan families that have companion animals living with cancer in an effort to honor the human-animal connection

  • Provides financial assistance for veterinary care for dogs of families experiencing financial hardship

The list was compiled by the Magic Bullet Fund volunteers. For twenty years, the Magic Bullet Fund supported families with dogs and cats with cancer, but sadly, they are no longer accepting applications.
